Need some help !

Just need a bit of advise from peeps that know their RAID stuff.
I've got 1TB Samsung hard drive in my pc but am thinking of upgrading that. Was thinking of getting another 2 x 250GB and running RAID 0 of these. Now will i still be able to use my Samsung in any way to sut up lets say RAID 1 with other 2 drives ? Or will i need to get another 1TB as well to do that, as you can see i'm a bit confused so some help would be greatly appreciated

You would be best off running two drives like the western digital RE3 in raid 0 and then manually backup sensitive data every week to your old drive (or get a software package to do it). No raid 1 aswell, 0+1 and 1+0 require similar drives I think.

No problem, I am running a couple of RE3 320GB drives, very nice indeed. Also I would recommend O&O defragging software as Raid0 drives are sensitive to fragmentation.

Thanks fot that tip, what sort of specs are RE3's....16MB + 7200rpm ??
