Need some Mic help

I was looking into using this mic on my pc in conjunction with some headphones via a xonar 5.1 sound card. A friend of mine thinks this may not be compatible or could possibly damage my PC and I was hoping you could give me some advice?

Nothing wrong with that... it's what I did for a while until I got a new headset.

It looks fine to use. But if you also search for the Speedlink on the same site you can see it's nearly half the price, quality wise I don't think there will be a difference.
