I've been having quite a few BSOD's of late and I think I've tied it down to a bad stick of Ram, so I'm looking for 4Gb of decent DDR2 to compliment my Q6600 and Asus P5K-e board. Any suggestions?

Memtest came back fine but one stick has always been tempremental and won't boot at anything below 2.1v when the other 3 sticks are happy at 1.8v. Sinc removing that stick i've not had a BSOD, I had thought about it being a bad slot but I've moved ram around and I'm pretty confident it's the one stick. Will look into rmaing it though.

well nuts!

All my BSODs started after I got back from 2 weeks holiday, turns out my Bios had reset to defaults and my memory was running at 1.8v, hence all the crashes. Just reloaded my bios overclock and its stable as a rock again.

/me feels like a numpty for making such a school boy error! but it never occurred to me the bios would have taken a floopy! Still thats saved a few quid :D

Doh! My DS3 motherboard occasionally likes to reset its BIOS too which is intensely irritating. Glad you sorted it!
