Need some pop

pop means popular, they all are pretty popular yea?

Yeah but if pop is just popular, what do we call the genre of music that was popular in the mid-late 90s that isn't popular anymore? Bands like Steps and Spice Girls. The word's meaning has changed and it is now the name of that genre of music

These days, indie is the generic music that no-one dislikes. Maybe try some Coldplay or Snow Patrol?

Though if you do actually want pop, Girls Aloud are the future

Actually, I was thinking along the lines of STEPS. :o

In that case I would recommend:

S Club 7 - Don't Stop Movin'
Aqua - Doctor Jones
Steps - Deeper Shade of Blue
Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby One More Time
Liberty X - Just A Little
Hanson - Mmmbop
Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)
Sugababes - Push the Button
Madonna - Hung Up
Pink - Get The Party Started
Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life
Billie Piper - Because we Want To
Cascada - Everytime We Touch
Backstreet Boys - Everybody (Backstreet's Back)
Take That - Relight My Fire
Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around

You will be limited as far as more recent stuff goes simply because there isn't very much of it. Though I still maintain that Girls Aloud are the future (Something Kinda Oooh, Biology, No Good Advice, The Show.. all great tracks)
