So i did have another thread where i basically cried for help and got some. I then realized how out of touch i was with current systems so browsing through pc gamer i kind of came up with the following build:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
EVGA nForce 680i SLi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (122-CK-NF68-A1)
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC2 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Now i just need some RAM i did have some DDR ram but I'm guessing (Educated guess) that its not going to work in the new motherboard. So if some one could also help me pick some new stuff i would appreciate it.

Please tell me if I've just headed in totally the wrong direction too :)

Hey Curve, i would personally change a few things.

Change the E6320 to a Intel Core 2 Duo E2140 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.60GHz or the E2160. I say this becuase them E21** range will hit 3GHZ+ quite easily and the extra cache on the E6320 makes very little diffrence or just up the CPU to a Q6600. The other CPUs in the middle just arnt considering, best bang for the buck is one of the E21** or the Q6600 Processors if you ask me. :)

The Motherboard to one of the P35 Range, something like this will be fine:

The 8800GTS OC2 is a waste of money to be honest, you can clock the standard version to them speeds anyway. :)

As for the Memory, this stuff will serve you fine:

Will clock to 100MHZ+, brilliant stuff.
