Hey guys,

I'm currently on my 4th and final teaching practice as part of my BEd degree and this coming week I have to deliver a 3 hour lesson on motivation to a bunch of young adults on a university access course. I have been told that one of my lecturers are coming out to assess me during this particular class so I'm trying to make it as interesting and fun as possible to earn the brownie points!

Now to begin with before I get into all the theory stuff I wanted to start the lesson with something to get the students interested and grab their attention so I was thinking of asking for a volunteer or nabbing the student who is latest into the room and I was going to ask them to do something ridiculous that they obviously are going to refuse to do then try and encourage them to do it by offering an incentive to see if that works and thus introducing the idea of motivation. Now this is where you guys come in. I need suggestions of such ridiculous ideas and indeed any other fun activities to do with motivation that I could maybe use.

Thanks

Matt
