So I need to get a new SSD for my uni computer before I go back in September, I have a budget of about £120 but my dad will be willing to spend some more on it if it's worth the cash.

I'm looking at the OCZ Agility 3 240GB, as I've had a good experience with my current 64GB model but it is far too small for my uses. Want 180-240GB ideally, or maybe even more if there are any in the price range.

Any thoughts/product launches that I should be thinking about?

Intel 330 Series 180GB - £139.99
thats probably the highest best your going to get

if you don't mind having a 128gb / 120 then go

Samsung 128GB SSD 830 - £90
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB - £95

Got a Samsung 256GB from my dad, he got it for £130 from a business seller so no VAT (well he can claim it back and so it is costing him £130).

I just got a corsair gt 120gb, very speedy! On offer at the moment i think too, but memory is a bit on the smaller side for you i guess...

Samsung 830 SSD... seems like a rock solid performer, and it's not sandforce3 controller, which I've seen so many complaints about. I personally wouldn't risk my data or time on the sandforce 3 controlled ssds. Sure they are fast, but I'd rather have almost as fast and more reliable.

The 128Gb one is £90 on OCuK, do you really have that much software to fill a 240Gb? 128+64Gb = plenty of space for most people. I admit I have a lot of Gb of games but most of them don't matter being on hard disk.

I understand if 128 is too small for your needs, but read reviews about whichever device you go for. Good luck.
