Hi all,

I'm not 100% clued up to newtworking any more, but basically I have the following issue that I want to solve:

I have the following setup currently:
Sky Fibre modem => Sky Wireless Router => Older 4 port hub

As there's only limited amounts of space for more ethernet devices on the router, I have cobbled together another older 4 port hub to daisy chain it, but means I only really have 6 useful connections for my devices.

I am therefore after a simpler solution that will allow me to save a bit of space and also connect all my devices in my house (at least 10).

Is my best option a conventional 16 port switch? Am I correct in assuming that my broadband router just needs to connect to that and then all my wireless is handled by that and all my ethernet is handed by the switch?

If a 16 port switch is the best option, which should I choose? Or do I have the wrong idea?

Cheers
