Due to the brilliant "pile it on the desk until things fall off the back" storage system i use, i've managed to fubar one of my dvd's.

I've tried giving it a gentle dose of tcut but nero still gives up at 51% of the copy :(

I remember ages back i used a copy prog that could ignore duff sectors on the discs, but i can't think what it was called.

Any ideas?

Might it have been CloneCD/CloneDVD or Alcohol 120%? I seem to remember CloneCD at least having options for ignoring bad sectors.

I've used afew overs the years ,GetBackData was one ,but Bad Copy was good with CD's .These recovered data from disks .Never used it on a scatched disk though.

what type of files are on there?

isobuster might help you out

unstoppable copier will try and copy all files to a folder, and will skip damaged files

Try using IMGburn, go into setting set read speed a little lower & de-selct Lock tray during read this way you can eject the disk if it continually fails read attempts give it a clean & try again it'll continue reading from where it left off or atleast try too.

It takes time & might have to eject the disk & try agiain but managed to make an image of many badly scratched & even a cracked dvd's in the past.
