Need to edit Dashcam footage - Best program to use?

I witnessed an accident tonight, and my Dashcam picked it up so I stopped and gave my details over.

But the MP4 file is 200MB and I need to edit it down/convert it.

What's my best bet? I can't email it as it is.

VLC.

Just open it up in VLC and you can record the screen playback.

If it's an insurance job, better off uploading it to YouTube anyway as that's what they'll request.

Windows movie maker or iMovie both work.

+1 for Handbrake. It can take a little getting used to but it's a good powerful program.

Registration Viewer is the only dashcam footage editor/viewer you need. It's free, small and takes no time at all to chop segments into smaller chunks of just the area you want.
