Hi guys,
First off this isn't for me, it's for a friend who doesn't game very much and they're basically looking for some games in genres I'm totally unfamiliar with. They asked me for some ideas so, I'm now asking you for some suggestions :)
They're after some medieval/fantasy style games, preferably RPG I think but not WoW.
It needs to be playable on a laptop with a Core Duo and Intel integrated graphics, also the cheaper the better, and no subscription payments.
I was thinking maybe something like Morrowind, though I've never played it so I don't really know what it is like apart from skimming some Youtube videos. Any other suggestions?
Cheers.

Mount and Blade or Torchlight maybe? Not sure of requirements. Maybe an older Kings Bounty or Might and Magic. Or any of the Spiderweb software games.

runescape?
Thanks but forgot to add to the post, not Runescape, sorry heh.

There's a decent looking game called The First Templar which is a medieval rpg that was released recently.

Ah, the metacritic rating isn't so good. It looked good from the screenshots...

Edit : "Integrated graphics" didn't read that bit, I shouldn't think it would. :(
Yeah, looks like the integrated graphics would probably struggle a bit too much with that, doesn't look too bad though. I'll check into it a little more.

Torchlight might be good, looks like it has low requirements and minimum settings would be fine if that's what is needed to get it to run, it doesn't need to look like Crysis. I'll also look into the others you mentioned and see what they're like, thanks.

Can it be an RTS? Plenty of those to choose from

Stronghold, Age of Empires etc etc etc
Possibly, didn't think about that. RPG would be better though, but I wouldn't rule out an RTS. I remember having a blast with AoE so I'll suggest that.

Cool, thanks for all the ideas, much appreciated :)
I'll let them know the suggestions and look into them a little myself too, and if I need any more ideas I'll post back.
Thanks a lot!
