Need to format & reload - advice please

OK - so Ididn't partiton before loading Vista 64 and now can't make C: as small as I want to.

As I've only loaded Vista and drivers so far, I think it might just be easier to start again...

So...

What's the best way to reformat the drive?

How / when can I partition it - I didn't seem to get an option when installing 1st time round - unless I missed it.

The Part Vista ask for you to configure disks.

You do no n Vista you ca change the size of a disk now in disk management??

Yep, but it's not letting me make C: any smaller than 300 GB - even after multiple defrag and reboots...

I don't recall it giving me a configure option - but maybe I just clicked through it...

What's the best way to reformat?

EDIT> Presume it's boot from Vista disk, then reformat from there...

Setup does ask which partition to install on.

Thanks - I worked it out - not quite sure why my brain wasn't in gear 1st time round!

Also much easier to start again than to try to re-jig it with Vista!
