Need to replace tumble dryer

I have a zanussi sensor dryer non condensing.

Had it for 3 years now with no faults, but I have to admit, it undercuts the time it needs a lot. We generally have to put it back on to get it dry fully, and then it overruns...

Sensor definitely isn't the best but the dryer has been fine

Is the sensor not adjustable? I have a Bosch condenser and it took a few runs for me to get the sensor set right to ensure everything is fully dried out but not cooked!

we had a candy (condensing type) for 8 years now and still going strong and it does dry clothes real quick....
I have had to replace the heater element 3 times though, but they are only £5 of the bay & our dryer is used multiple times every day though. I never really have worked out why our 10kg washing machine seems to be running 24/7??

I have had hotpoint dryers direct from hotpoint factory outlet for years and only issue ever have is heater element needs changing which is cheap, I have done this twice in 10 years however my dryer does go twice a day so don't feel it's that bad

Bought a Zanussi condensing model earlier in the year to replace a conked out Indesit (which in fairness lasted about six years). Don't think I would go Beko, fairly certain these are the ones you read about in the paper or on the news fairly regularly about catching fire.

Funny you should say that, we got rid of a beko condensor because it was kicking all the warm damp air out into the shed and everything was going mouldy. we replaced the heating element once in it but other than that it had nothing wrong with it.

Missus just rang me.
Argos told us to contact hotpoint to arrange collection
Hotpoint told us that they only arrange repairs not replacement/refunds/collection so speak to argos.
She rang argos again and they gave her 2 options (I am going to assume they actually gave her the option of a full refund but she didn't mention it)

option 1 - keep the current dryer and dispose of ourselves
replace with a Bush dryer with same spec that is normally £20 more expensive but on offer @ £179.99 atm and a £50 voucher

option2 - keep the current dryer and dispose ourselves
replace with a bosh model which is £50 more but waive the difference

guess which bloody option she chose

Just told her to ring back and get the bosch, this one

good result overall I think, the hotpoint isn't heating up, last time it was a loose wire, hoping it's the same and I'll be able to sell it on.
Got to say well done to Argos here, not what I was expecting to be honest.
