strictly gonna use for performance watching movie's extracting ,encoding also need for photoshop

budget £600 would like a ssd if cash left over

I picked 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD with a lowish GFX that can do a bit of everything if needed.

I would say that even the 6870 is an overkill graphics card for a system for no gaming. You could get something much cheaper or even use the integrated graphics and get an i7 2600K if the applications you use can utilise hyperthreading.

I think the ATI Radeon HD 5450 SILENT 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card would be great for your system.

Not really, even the cheapest card from ATI isn't that much greater than the CPU's built in HD3000 GFX, if you have more than two screens then a separate card will be required.

i have two screens atm
ive noticed memory is pretty cheap these days so would i benefit with a higher priced memory or add more say 16gb
