Hey

just wanting some ideas/opinions on gaining a little advantage for next gen games.

Current system specs:

3.80 gigahertz AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
8GB RAM
Evga 580gtx
Asus Crosshair IV Formula AM3

What i was thinking was maybe going for a single 670GTX card instead of a single nvidia card, but one of my friends said i should go for two ATI cards due to my motherboard having crossfire, but i am in two minds lol, also i would assume my cpu is good enough for at least another year or two lol

So just looking for a little info

Thanks :)

I would to with a Radeon 7970 over the GTX670 any day because it comes with a few games and is better value in general as it's cheaper but performs more or less the same or even better than the GTX670

But like others have said I would stick with your existing setup unless you feel it's lagging behind

The AMD Phenom II X6 1090T is a solid CPU. Most games currently use 2 cores and in some cases 4 cores so in a way your CPU isn't going to be a bottleneck anytime soon or being fully utilized. The FX-6300 would be an upgrade but you would also need to replace your MB and the performance increase you would get in games would be hardly noticeable.

Upgrade your GPU if anything, AMD 7950 or 7970 would be your best choice :)
