Update
So, got up at 4am, went to work, had rough day, came home, and the FIRST person I see walking up the road is the neighbour with him mate trying to put the blame on us, apparently the pipe / blockage is on our property therefore we are responsibile whether we are to blame or not...right, need to look this up, anyways, gonna explain better as I need someone's advice who DOES know the actual answer...
The white line indicates the pipe that is blocked. He brought round a map of drainage, but just a load of dots to be fair, anyway, the white lines show the path of the pipe, and the white square shows the area where the water is filling, now he says this is the blockage area, yet he cant say that exact area is the blockage, anyway, the black arrow shows the direct my drainage systems runs IF it runs into the main pipe that is blocked, but im sure the water would be filling back up that way too?
The red line shows the direct the pipes LOOKS to be going when I open the man-hole at the beginning of the red line which again is perfectly clear...
The blue line is APPARENTLY where this other man-hole is shown to be on the map by a little dot (?) yet I have just spent nearly 2 hours digging the whole area up and no man-hole.
I have told him DynoRod are coming out tomorrow to do the work, and if they say there is no way this is caused by us, I told him I will be sending the bill elsewhere and he is then trying to say 'well how can you prove who it is' yet I dont care who caused it, it aint my drain so i shouldnt have to pay, its only for that fact that my kids want to play outside and I cant let them in the back garden at the moment, and he is going round all his neighbours talking about it...not sure what is is saying...
Need advice...My wife's dad is coming back for a few days on Friday and the last thing I wanna do is let her dad start cuz he can be **** if he is ****** off...
any advice?
