Neighbours Blocking my Drive with their Car..

Sign saying "Private Property - Permit Holders Only. Unauthorised Vehicles will be Clamped. Release fee £xxx"

Then print off a few - free of charge of course - permits for genuine residents and then clamp her. Release fee can be whatever you want too.

When she asks for a permit, make it some daft amount like £10k a year. Obviously all the other residents have to agree to go with that too though.

I like the idea of moving the car for her too. We had someone park over our driveway once, on the day we were having a skip delivered. The delivery guy and my Dad (I was at work) just lifted the back end of the womans car off the road and pushed it out of the way.....

however you *can* get done for criminal damage. In 1st year of uni a girl parked in my mates space so me and mate pushed her car out the way and parked in the space, leaving her car in the middle of the carpark. A camera saw us and security came so my mate moved. she came back later and was suprised how her car had moved itself, she got in and put her car back in the space.

We had to go to a meeting the next day and she said there was damage to the handbrake cable, we said that we noticed she was drunk when she got back late at night so she had been drink driving. :)

Also the fact there was quite a few of us and charging us for something that hadnt been snapped maybe wasnt a good idea. We never did get a bill for her car handbrake cable

do you have access to lots and lots of helium? if so tie thousands of helium baloons (enough to float her car away) and leave it floating outside of her bedroom window.

/fantasy mode off :o

Not if you put the car back like my Dad did after the skip was put on the driveway... the woman came for her car later on and the look on her face was apparently a picture as she tried to work out how we got the skip on the front. :D

Plus as she was actually parked over my driveway, the stupid woman should never have been there in the first place.

Maybe try a new sign outside your house, like this one:

Now that was funny; especially the part involving the angry mob - a mob of angry people, furious, purely because someone has parked a car in the wrong place.

Can't you and your mate park your cars 1 inch form either bumper then she will need to come to you....this will give you the ideal chance to explain why you and your mate can park there and its best if she does not.

You need to be assertive. and go sort it and tell her not to park there any more, or she will take the **** forever. So stop being such a wimp or ppl will know you are a doorstep, and everyone will treat you like one

i reckon leave a letter. had some retard park across my gates on saturday night. no idea who it was, tried pushing it but it wouldn't budge (try that with her car, if the handbrakes not up far it's a manual it might move - just push it into the road!) in the end i put a note on the windscreen and noted his numberplate just in case anything happened to my car or anything. was very tempted to put a brick through his window and move it myself.

Leave a note explaining it is private land. If she persists clamp her car. As it is private land you're entitled to do so.

We had a similar problem with idiots parking on our drive. We ended up putting a chain across the drive but people would still get out and remove the chain. As that had failed and full on street arguements telling people they were not only blocking all the cars on our drive AND parking on private land we started to clamp the cars that kept doing it (we checked with the police first who said we were perfectly within our rights to do so).

This was a last option after years of asking people not to do it and being met many a time with a stern "**** off."

had the same problem outside my uni building i gave him half an hour then rang 101 (new supposedly emergancy number) told em ....however you live next to him everyday obviosly explain or threaten to use baseball bats against his car

I had a similar problem for almost a year, same idiot in the house opposite would park on the street directly opposite my drive, then park his other car right next to my drive meaning I had to reverse out along the road or try to reverse in at night. annoyingly his drive was completely empty.

Fortunately he's just been evicted due to mortgage arrears though, problem solved. I did chat to him very politely about it, he was extremely rude so I simply said "well sorry to have bothered you but your car is worth a lot more than mine."

It annoyed a few neighbours as the meant the space to drive past was extremely narrow, one of them did mention using Nitro mors but I didn't want to damage someone elses property.

You could always get a few mates and simply lift the rear of the car with a jack or if it's a wee car a few guys can do it, then just shift it to where you want or the middle of the street, then phone the police ;)
