Neighbours cctv watching me.

Definitely auto tracking, was moving about thismorning. Just waiting to catch the neighbours, not sure what exactly to say without coming across as a ****

Say “not trying to come across as a ****” and then you can’t technically be treated as one because you have prefixed whatever you say next with that.

It’s like how you say “no offence but…” and no one gets offended because you told them not to.

Spoke to him today, he said something about the settings defaulting to auto tracking. Said he would sort it out anyways.

You've missed a chance here! Could have totally had some fun at his expense by doing some really weird or suspicious stuff!

My neighbours have a tracking camera and it really puts me off my naked trampolining and touching my toes exercises I do during the day.

Not even worth caring about, I wouldn't give it two thoughts. 'Oh no, someone's camera can see me while I'm outside!' Uh yeah, and so can just about everyone else, from their window.

I'd only be concerned if it could see into your house and the live feed ended up here: http://insecam.org/en/

My neighbour has a camera that does this and it also has a spotlight so can be very annoying. It has also caused some issues with the neighbour between us that I won't mention on a public forum.

To those who argue these things also protect you, this neighbour has already refused to volunteer footage to police on a number of occasions regarding anything from potential crash damage, suspected vehicle arson and even police thinking a wanted person may have accessed my property despite no connection with our address. I never did find out if he was chased and cut through our garden or gave false details.

I have no issues with him except he is very nosey and, despite getting on well with initially, soon found out that he doesn't actually listen to what you say and spreads incorrect gossip like my nan :D.

My next door neighbour has cctv camera that can swivel and move around.

I noticed today when i came home for my dinner, as i parked my quad bike on the drive, it followed me and was pointing right at me in my backyard.

I stared right into it as if to say, wtf you looking at.

I get that the novelty of a quad bike they could be curious but it was down right creepy.

After my dinner it was pointing away and as i started up the bike it was looking at me again. (On my property).

I have a wife and 2 small children, i dont like that it can see in my garden and they are controlling it and pointing it.

I'm going to have a word with them next time i see them, they seem like good neighbours as never have trouble with them but this is creeping me out.

If its looking at your property, then they are breaking the law

i would try and video it / take pics, then call 101 and tell them about it, they will come and check it out, if it seems to be deemed looking at your property etc, then they will force them to remove it

Or as has been done just talk to the neighbor like a human being rather than wasting the little police resource there already is.

Rough area, considered moving?

Not particularly but not as nice as when we first moved here. There is more private ownership than then and since the boundary changes we are classed as one of the Conservative safe seat wards. Most people still don't know this area exists when giving directions.

Us and Mr CCTV are the only council houses on this cul-de-sac and there aren't many left nearby either. We are an adapted disabled property and would find it very difficult to move. They foster and have grown up kids else where, he does work when able due to heart problems.

The arson was due to another private neighbour's daughter, now moved, dating a lad involved in dealing drugs. His competition followed him and targeted their cars thinking it was his address apparently. That was several years ago.

You get the odd group of 'feral kids' who group together but not like some of the big estates in Bristol. No area is perfect, this isn't the worst by a mile. My pet hates are pavement parking, bonfires and woodburners :D.

We have decent neighbours on the whole, although only a couple have been here longer than us now (I feel old).
