Neocron 2 - Any cop?

As a long long ago player of Neocron 1 I have some fond memories of that game, gunning down mutants in the sewers, pvp outside, taking down bots single handedly and stripping them for parts - great fun. Then they went and nerfed it all.

Half thinking about giving it another spin, any body playing at the mo or recently with any opinions?

Not played NC2 for a while, but still check out the forums occasionally. Populations are low, so low that a lot of the english players are moving onto the German server.

The people that are left, seem to be the dregs of the community. Many of the bugs are still around from NC1.

I'd stay away, but if you really wanna have a look then try the 10 day trial.

They're currently mid balance in an attempt to get more players to sign up, but a lot of the old players have tried it and left again.

If only they would make an NC1 server with the old server rules, they would soon see subscriptions rise.

Id sign back up for early NC1 in a heartbeat. Ah well, onto other things.

I played the open beta for that, and loved it...

Until one day I accidently killed some NPC I wasn't supposed to, and from then on the moment I stepped out my front door I'd be running for my life from the copbots. I was actually coping with that, until one day I'd got some guy to build me a kickass weapon. I got badly damaged in the sewers, came out, and immediately got raped by a copbot, and lost my ubergun...

I gave up then. Have to check out NC2 but I don't have the time for mmporgs ne more.

It's not the game you will remember. Still a lot of bugs, things still not implemented that should have been. Remember the Zoo? don't think that made it yet :eek:

It is a shame as it had some of the best PvP action of any MMO and fairly unique sci-fi setting

But they do a 10 day trial and I think you can still access your old characters and check it out for yourself but the server populations are low.
