The developers wife sorted through those 12,000 or so words, designating whether or not she knew them. That narrowed down the list of Wordle words to about 2,500

She sounds dumb.

Got it in three but don't think I'll bother again. Despite definitely preferring maths to English language as a subject in school, I found wordl more gratifying to play. I think the last of the rules Lysander quoted is enough to put me off it.





Edit: they could also do a 'hard' mode for the real nerds out there - include all the functions on a scientific calculator

.I've used every number and symbol and what I have I cannot fathom how I can continue..

I only have 7 characters so I assume one is used twice ? My + sign is in wrong in the 3rd space so one of the numbers must be 3 digits as my = correct but only a 2 digit number will fit after
