ive been looking at nero 8, is there much difference between retail and oem and what is Essentials Suite does it do avi to dvd conversion?

and why is it cheaper to buy from OC than it is direct from nero !!!!
full retail : OC £46.99
full retail : nero website £59.99

not that it bothers me !!!!!! just curious !!

Nero is actually pretty good, just make sure that when you install it you only install the bare minimum, otherwise it will try and take over your PC.

Agreed, install only the ‘burning rom’ part and nothing else, which rather defeats the purchase of this software. I have this but will not upgrade again.

don't do it nero 8 is pants. CDXPBurnerpro or whatever it is called

ok nero 6 doesnt install on a 64bit op hence the reason i want nero 8, and trust me ive tried!!!

nero is fine as long u dont let it install everything, like everyone else has said click what u dont want, which is also the reason i was asking about the essentials pack !!!!!!!!!!!!

as for that cdxpburnpro i tried it and found it a lot more awkward to use compared to nero and wasted 3 cds as it kept failing !!

There's a version on Softpedia I think called Nero 8 Lite. It's what I use with my existing Nero 8 key. Works a treat.

sorry i dont understand this one, if you have nero 8 key then that must mean you have nero 8 in which case why would you choose nero lite? why not just not install what you dont want like everyone has mentioned on here.
