Hi All

Can someone tell me if it is still necessary to install .NET framework 1.1 for the Catalyst Control Panel to run, or will it simply now run with .NET framework 2.0
It seems a bit unnecessary to have both chunks of software installed when one would do fine.

Why are you using CCC anyway?

probably because its the official stuff that comes from ati which should in theory not require and crappy pre-requisits like .net framework to work properly.

ATI CCC is a hog. With it windows login takes about 1 minute of HD crunching before it's usuable. With Omega in within 3 seconds.

i have both 1.1 and 2.0 installed at the end of the day its a free app to download and install so don;t know why so many people complain about it???

OMFG! You do it AGAIN! Contradict yourself.

CCC is a peice of bloated ****. As a overclocker you get the best software to do the job, ATi Tray Tools is that program.

For the average n00b they don't know what 99% of the settings do in either peice of software, SO WHAT DOES IT MATTER.

**** sake man, every post you make ****** me off more...

With nvidia you need a 2nd peice of software to overclock further because coolbits has stupid limits.

tbh, uninstall CCC (Catzlyst Control Center, not Panel) and the rest of the ATI drivers etc and install the omega drivers.
much better.

looks like you just reworded my post and used it for your own reply
i have posted saying ccc is bloated and that i use tray tools. and i have mentioned before that you need to be more of an enthusiast to work with the ati offerings, and nvidia caters very well for noobs with their drivers.

so what was the point of your post? looks just like your trolling now.
