Net migration is down

Type words in to google. Dead easy.

Here's one for you

That's 1.7m people not guaranteed a paycheque.

And how is insecure work no work, what percentage of those zero hour contract people don't receive any hours at all in any week or a month for example to then realistically skew the employment figures.

Your link isn't a dispute of the official unemployment figures.

We've always had 'zero hour contracts' they were called bank staff. And it suits a lot of people. They have expanded and companies were exploiting them, but the rules have tightened up a lot and they get all the employment rights of any employee

What's more beneficial to the working individual who wants money? Them working full time (let's say 40 hours a week) or them and two others working say 10 hours each? From the government stats it looks like 3x as many people are in work but productivity and income for the individual is actually down. 30 hours as opposed to 40.

Be interesting to see how many, if any, were net contributors?
A vast majority since immigrant contribute more than British Citizens on average.
And those that have moved on elsewhere are those who have the best opportunities and will be earning significantly more abroad thanks to Brexit and the massively devlaued pound.

I think that tells you one thing, UK is not doing well at all if people would rather go elsewhere. This country is a mess and will be for a long time.

Is that what they're doing though? We're not losing people, we just aren't getting as many. Eastern Europeans are big one as it's not as profitable for them any more due to the weaker pound.

What's your point?

That doesn't conflict with my point that the government stats are crap

Because you are only trying to discredit the concern of the institute of directors over labour shortages, by saying the official figures are crap, by using faux concern over the employment conditions of the employed in this country.

You are perfectly happy for companies to pay as little as possible for menial jobs so they can make profit, to the point where a person can't live off that wage, so why are you concerned they won't guarantee a set number of hours for those crap wages?

That's the job, don't like it, don't take it. Then the company will have to change its offer....that's how it goes isn't it?

Many have left too, the fact is that people don't see UK as a country that it used to be.. They see it as an unstable mess and trying to come here and create your future is no more a thing that a lot of people wish to do. Especially Eastern Europeans who would now rather go to Norway or Germany for work.

Highly paid immigrant city workers would easily sqew the figures though so I highly doubt the 'vast majority ' do contribute more.

They do, because we tend to get young, fit migrant workers who pay National insurance and tax but won't use the NHS in later life as they often go/plan to go back to their own country when they are older.

Good thing we have this advanced technology called statistics where these smart boffins came up with incredibly complicated formulae that no one understands to give us a fairer picture without skew. Things like, what do they call it, ah yea - median.

And besides that, a vast majority of EU migrants work in London anyway.

Stereotypes aside - where is the evidence to back that up?
