Net migration up again

Well, with the announcements yesterday of 400,000 new homes, road building, lifting of the Nursing cap, recruiting more GPs, then yes, it looks like we're trying

How do you plan to build them without the skilled workforce?

400k homes will not scratch the surface and 200k of them were in the pipeline anyway.

Damn immigrants, coming here legally to contribute to our economy.

Probably not, but that's not the immigrants fault is it?

No one of sound mind ever questions that immigrants do add value in some form to the economy. And certainly doesn't say it's the immigrants fault.

BUT that is not the point that's needs to be argued, and rolling out the HURR DURR IMMIGRANTS COME HERE TO WORK, THEY CONTRIBUTE DON'T YOU KNOW argument every time is pointless. No one who knows what they are talking about disagrees. The problem is one of capacity: housing, schools, NHS, just about any public service you can think of.

Yes, there will be some (perhaps a lot) of people who are anti-immigration for the wrong reasons i.e. dey took errr jerrrbss, but those who insinuate that this is the only reason anyone is anti(unlimited)-immigration, is just as bad - dey complain dat dey took derrr jerrrbbbsss

When they are a net benefit to the economy then it's the people in charges fault for not using this extra money to increase public services to accommodate the extra numbers!
Don't blame hard working immigrants for the incompetence of our government (or deliberate selfish ideology more like!) , but then again is anyone surprised ??? We have a party in power which believes in individualism, privatization, low tax and small government! i.e I'm alright jack pull up the ladder, very primitive and an embarrassment to evolution of the human species imho.

Which was my entire point.

Go to Sheffield and tell them what a positive effect thousands of Roma gypsies have made on the City.

Because that's representative of the millions of hard working immigrants that have been empirically proven to be a net benefit to our economy

Why don't you tell us what negative effects they have had instead of making baseless claims and relying on others to prove you wrong?

That's gonna be tricky considering Daily fail articles tend to lack substance and evidence!

Sounds like absolute hell for the residents since the gypsies arrived.

Disgraceful behaviour which I'm sure you'll say is all made up and false.

I'm pretty sure Page Hall was absolutely hell before the Roma arrived and has been for generations. Every city has areas like that, where the conditions and local factors are exacerbated by bad politics. For example, Derby Road in Southampton.

For sure, Roma migrants have probably made things worse but that area wasn't a pleasant place to begin with. For example, this was apparently between Muslims and Romas, nevermind the white residents.

When you say things like

Go to Sheffield and tell them what a positive effect thousands of Roma gypsies have made on the City.

You make it sound like the entire city is a cesspool of anarchy. Which it isn't.
