ok
i am not sure who is still stuck on the film one but one last clue:
the man putting down the 4 Jacks is Paul Newman.

its definitely american beauty btw.
my list is this:

BLSATSBLTSRTTABBHDEH??

I am on 1.27 but haven't worked seriously on it...just snippets atm.

I just hope it isn't another trick thing....

hey hey hey!
I am only there cause...er....busy time in work [ yes that's it ;) ]
:D

I made a start on it on a spreadsheet.
All letters od alphabet at top and each symbol assigned a number.
Then linked each number to each other so when I assign a letter to a number, the whole spreadsheet will change. I'll probs work on it over the course of the w/e. I printed it out (turned it into a negative so the symbols are easier to read).

So I have put some planning into this :)

btw - another puzzle/riddle master is Cliff Johnson and his wonderful game The Fools Errand had me going for a long long time.
It, and his two other games, are available here for free:

http://www.fools-errand.com/

All 3 are are available for d/l but you do need to also d/l a prog to make 'em work. This interface has a life of 30 days [ tho' a reg cleaner sorted that one out ;) ]

Cliffs new game A Fool and his Money is realeased later this year.

I had fools errand on my Amiga, quality game but never completed it due to a couple of brain headaching puzzles that almost caused me to destroy everything in my house :D

Well happy to find a PC version as ultimately my disk corrupted :(

For those who want more try these sites...

http://www.quest4treasure.co.uk

edit - signup free BTW - edit

me too - my Amiga version was fantastic - I had pages of written clues and answers and it was lovely to re-live via PC. I have completed all of it and am into the map bit now and it's just a question of committing some time to it once more.
Cliff very kindly put a hint/answer book on the site so the age old brain killers can be answered at last ;)

Thanks for the quest link...now added to me faves.

The 'GRY' one, and I am sure the answer is language due to a google search.

It says it is not, is it language but do I have to type something different?

Cheers,

yeas...read the first part again.

Have done 1.27 now, yet can only think of the one answer to the riddle

I did a google on it and got 2 possible answers - when I read it I thought of one but googled just be sure. The oher was a surprise.

I just wanna get back into it again - been damn fun.
This is the only forum that I have seen people really going for it - so very well done all :)

that's only the first 10...in another forum a couple had made it to 1.27 a whole week before I posted the link here...there must be hundreds making it past 1.27 into 2.1 (?) and they're not going to put everyone down on the page.

It's odd tho that no one on any of the forums I posted this damn thing on has admitted to making it thru to the 2nd stage... :/
