Net slowness at times it qon;t even load at all?

The speed is more like dial up & at times it acts like it can't find a site. My DNS page comes up like it got typed wrong, but when I click the link, same thing. Is there a file I can post, so any probs. could be spotted?? Oh, I also get Can not load page like I am not online.

How many threads do you start fella? What OS are you using, what network type, etc etc.

Ubuntu 11.04 it is cable, in windows it is fine.

Yes, I have made no changes I installed Ubuntu & that is all. If you want a copy & paste of a file just say.

Obvious question is obvious, do other machines suffer from slowness before thinking it's Linux? Just I've always found that any Linux install gives ~100k\s more throughput than Windows.

Hi, I had this problem. I think it is a bug with one of the newer Realtek lan chips that comes with the latest motherboards. I didnt find a fix but worked around it by plugging in my own adapter in a PCI-E 1x slot.

Other machines & when I am in windows it is fine.
