Netbios attacks on own network

Was wondering if anyone could help - I recently connected a couple of different systems to my router at home and switched to Zonealarm firewall.

Now I keep getting netbios attacks from one of the other systems connected to the router. I've done a virus scan on it and also a spybot scan - can't figure it out :confused:

Can anyone suggest anything? I thought maybe it's just the link layer topology discovery service but I'm not sure.
 
If you suspect a particular service then I'd say your first plan of attack should be to disable the service and see what happens :)

Someone else more knowledgeable will be in soon, no doubt.
 
Thanks EVH, I didn't disable this service because I believed it was a legit service (I think it is a Microsoft service) being misinterpreted as an attack - it's probably not this, just thought I'd mention it, but suppose I could try disabling it for starters.
 
Well, it isn't the topology service 'cos I blocked that. My brother's also just reinstalled windows on another PC hooked up to the router (and installed a new firewall) and now I'm getting attacks from that too :rolleyes:

Is there any way I can figure out what's doing this?
 
The use of the word attack is Zonealarm marketing speak for 'something that normally happens several hundred million times a day and is perfectly normal' just happened. Would you like to buy the Pro version so we can tell you it's all ok in detail ?
