netbook query

hi all,

I am looking for a cheap netbook for throwing in a rucksack and backing up files from my camera on the move.

One of the local shops has an Allfine (never heard of them) mini netbook for £99.

No cpu speed on the advert, 2gb of ram and 7" screen.

Anyone know anything about the brand?

Also, it comes with Windows CE, is it like a normal laptop where I can just format and install XP?

Personally, I wouldn't touch those cheap things with a barge pole. I'd spend a bit more on a refurb model, like the Dell 1012 here for £180. It's unlikely you will be able to change the OS. Or find other ways to back up your camera files. Dunno about the connectivity options of those things, but there must be some sort of portable hard drive you can use to plug into the camera and save files on the go.

I got a dell mini 10v off the bay for about 170 I think it was, love it! Runs Windows fine but I think certain Linux distros are more appropriate.
