Quick and probably stupid question for you.... I have a win7 netbook which I have been using a 2gb sandisk ultra sd card I had spare as a readyboost drive. I have just got a cheap ssd (vertex plus) ssd drive for it and I was wondering if it's going to slow things down having the ready boost in as the ssd will be faster than the sd card?

Cheers

Dave

In short Yes it will slow it down, readyboost was made for working along slower HDD's. Readyboost makes a system faster by caching your most used programs onto the sd card whcih has a near enough 0 seek time and then accessing them from there instead of making your harddrive spend time finding them, but with an SSD there is no seek time like a the SD card.
