Bear with me this is quite a tale.
My niece bought a new netbook, and went to connect it to the net and no connection, so phoned me to ask about it.
I told her to look in device manager, and the LAN had no drivers installed, so I got her to download PC Wizard from her desktop and transfer it to the netbook via a USB pendrive, once installed she found the required LAN driver and downloaded it via the pendrive to the netbook, once installed Device manager said it was working properly.
Connected the LAN cable and it could not find an internet connection, went through ipconfig /release and renew, still no internet connection, so she contacted there company she brought it from, only to be told the LAN drivers do not work with the starter edition, so she would have to upgrade to Home premium for £95.
WTF, I have never heartd such ******** in my life.
So tomorrow she is taking it back for a full refund.
