I learnt a lot of Spanish words watching Narco’s. You pick it up without realising when you watch for hours.

My guess is that the production of new material has taken a real hit because of COVID, so they’ve decided to source older material from other countries.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by some of what we’ve watched. Just finished a 6 part German series. Didn’t rate episode 1, but it really picked up after that.
Also found some genuinely good Korean and Japanese series.

I learnt this the hard way, that why I'm cautious now - I don't click play on anything where the actor and directors names are all foreign
