Netflix app really slow?

Just wondering why the Netflix app is really slow via the app on both android phone and tablet, yet if I go via the desktop site in chrome it's almost instant in it's response over the same wi-fi connection :confused:

Unfortunately it won't let me watch anything via the browser so when I select stuff it still launches the app and I have to wait over 2 minutes sometimes even for it to just load the series overview.

Is the app crap or is the problem my end?

No significant delays on any of my devices including:

iPad/iPhone
Nexus 7 2013
PC Browser
FireTV Stick

The only thing it's slow on for me is tivo, it's fine on the phone.

It's always like it, actual content plays fine with zero buffering but just getting in and browsing the app is a total ball ache and takes forever.

Have you tried clearing the cache? Android Settings-Apps-Netflix-Storage-Clear Cache
