Netgear DG834G wireless part not working

For some reason, the previously trouble-free wireless part of my Netgear DG834G wireless/router has stopped working. The ethernet ports are still working (touches wood) and giving no problems but there are problems with the wireless part; it basically doesn't appear to be putting out a wireless signal, but if it does it stays up for maybe an hour then refuses to work.

When its not working, no amount of powering-down/up seems to help, then randomly it might work for 30 mins before refusing to give a wireless signal for hours more. Al the time the ethernet ports seem to function fine.

Any idea what might be going on here, and what I can do about it? I'm holding off a hard reset as I don't have the password to go with the username (any neat ideas for getting this without having to reset it?).

Check the antenna is not damaged or loose?otherwise it looks like a hard reset

Thanks for that. The username password I'm more concerned about is the BTBroadband account pair. I've got the username - but for the life of me can't recall the password I put with it!

Have you tried a firmware upgrade?

I haven't, but I don't see that that should make any difference, as nothing else has changed (that I'm aware of) that should have caused this.

connect using ethernet go into router setting and write down the info you need or call BT for your password
