Netgear DGB111GUK install problem

when i run the wizard all i get is no adsl line detected, look a the pic again, its got my log in info in their :)
 
No adsl line detected? You havent still got the usb modem connected to the same line whilst your trying this have you?
 
Does your usb modem have the little rj11 connector coming from the phone socket in the back of it? If so unclip and remove it and try it in the router instead of the one that came with the router as maybe it's just a duff lead.
 
Hmm, sounds like your router is fubar then, I was on Pipex up until only last week and that router works fine with the service. No chance it's been zapped by lightning is there? You said Pipex confirmed a fault on your line previously.
 
they said it was authenticating, but then the bt man came it fired up straight away fro him using his usb modem, its a weird thing, might see if i can try the router on my unkles line
 
Worth a try I suppose if only to confirm it's a faulty router. If your usb kit works on your line then there's no reason why the router shouldn't.
 
Try resetting the router to defaults, there's a reset button on the back, use a pen or something pointed to hold it in for 10 seconds or more.
