Hi folks. Finally got my plusnet broadband fitted on Friday just gone (15/11/13). All working fine with download speed of 76Mb and upload speed of 16Mb.

I have it all plugged into a Netgear DGND 3700v2 router that I picked up for free at work. Firmware on router upgraded to Firmware Version
V1.1.00.15_1.00.15. Connected my 1TB WD HDD to the USB on the back and the ReadyShare function works fine. However as soon as I turn on the Media Server function to allow DLNA, the router reboots every 3-5 minutes.

Anyone else had this experience? Id like to have the DLNA functionality so that I can stream to audio/video equipment around the house. Should I buy something better?
 
This is a terrible router. It's very buggy and I believe one of the issues is the one you have listed.

NETGEAR won't fix it. They never fix anything. They make shocking hardware these days.

If you can, return it and buy something from Asus.
 
Gutted :(

Any recommendations on what model of Asus to get? I'm using plusnet fibre and would really like DLNA functionality.
