Quick information for anyone considering getting a Netgear WNR854T router.

The current netgear draft-N PCI and notebook adapters do not work at the increased speed with this router. You need to wait for the release of the Gigabit Wireless Adapters (even though they wont be gigabit, just 300mbps but thats what theyre calling them) if you want to connect wirelessly to anything with the claimed transfer speed.
Other cards will work, but will default to 54Mbps.
This is because the Gigabit router uses a different chipset to the others.
In other news... the OCUK picture for the WPNT834 is wrong and its rumoured that all the draft-n stuff from netgear will just require a firmware upgrade to get to the possible 600Mbps speeds coming when 802.11n is ratified sometime next year.
