I got my Rangemax USB adapter (WPN111) today to compliment my WPN824 Cable Router.
I am letting the Netgear adapter's software control the wireless connection as opposed to Windows XP SP2, although I have a question. I'm only 1 ceiling away from the router, but Windows XP's networking icon shows 54Mbps, Signal Strength Very Low..and the Netgear adapter's icon is yellow, which indicates that the adapter is not at full strength either.
My question is, what sort of settings have people got their router/adapter/operating system set to in order to get the most out of the rangemax technology?
For the record I have another wireless non rangemax client on the network which is a Netgear cardbus adapter running standard 802.11g.
