Can you tell me is it normal that my netgear router runs quite hot?

Most routers get warm but shouldn't be too hot unless kept somewhere which isn't ventilated or sat next to another hot item.

Use the feet you got with the router so it stands up right, will run a lot cooler better air circulation. :cool:

It also depends on what revision you have.

Older models had the transformer in the mains plug, so the router ran fairly cool. New models have a smaller plug as the transformer in housed in the router, and will result in a warmer router.
