Netto being replaced by Asda

Not like ASDA is much better tbh. I had to go there the other day (I try to avoid it, but it was close and I had a plane to catch) and, initially, it went well. In fact, it went well right up until the point I came back to my car to find someone had dumped a recently dirty oozing nappy right next to it.

Classy++

You'd never get that in M&S or Waitrose.

there used to be one about 100 metres down the road from me.
As PhillyDee said, they were a tip, stuff just dumped everywhere!
Morrison's have taken it over now, and what a difference, can't belivee its the same shop.

I find the hate for Asda confusing, but then I would as the local Asda here is only a few years old and very good - one of the biggest in the country.

The Netto store by us has ben taken over by asda aswell,We did not even notice it had until we walked in and it had been converted....no signs had been put up outside or anything up the windows.
They must have opened either that day or the day before and was waiting on the signs.

I think both Asda and Netto were getting overpriced anyway though...I prefer Tescos.

I find them to be quite touch and go. My local one is a hell hole, however the one that I work in is quite nice.

Asda is excellent for non-food goods as 99% of the time it is a fair bit cheaper than the others for equivalent items. Food wise, I prefer Morrisons or Tesco.

Netto on the other hand, I've always found it a hole.

Never been to Netto but there's a very large ASDA down the road from me. I've never had a problem shopping in ASDA and quickly got used to where everything is. I don't like shopping in other supermarkets because I find it takes me at least twice or three times as long to get the same stuff.

When Morrisons bought Safeways they could only keep so many stores in the same town. It might mean closure for some. Our local super was bought by Sainsbury's or it would have closed.
