First off wasn't sure whether to post here or in motherboards, hopefully this is the right choice :)

My PC has been running fine, until last night turned my PC on and couldnt get a web connection despite a hard wired laptop and several wireless devices working fine

A quick lookin device manager showed Network Adapters -> Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection with a Yellow "!" Box

Right click properties shows in the main box

"This device cannot start. (Code10)"

And under most the other tabs

"This network connection is disabled or has been removed from the system. You must reinstall the connection or enable it from the General tab before you can access disabled features."

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling drivers. I've disabled and renenabled through device manager and no joy.

I've tried three different Ethernet cables and rolled back on a system restore again with no joy

I'm hoping its not a problem with the mobo but I don't really know what else to try? Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated

Cheers

Hi, a long shot but have you checked the Bios settings, or try clearing the Cmos.

If the on broad Lan is dead just buy a cheap PCI network card.

Cheers - I've checked BIOS but a CMOS reset must be worth a try :)

I'm gonna have a rummage in the garage for an old network or wireless card to try that

The mobo is covered by warranty so could RMA it but it puls be a PITA .....

Ill let you know
