Hi all,

Do you any of you know of a Network Audit Tool that I can install on my laptop and take to client sites and collate information spec's etc about the nodes on the network?

I doubt it, I've been looking at this recently and all the decent software like Netsupport DNA and Symantec's product that i've forgotten the name of all require licencing per client.

They also usually require a client application to be deployed.

There is some freeware software that i've come across but it's not very good and limited to what it can collect.

How is it limited? what doesn't it collect? What's it called? Have you got a link?

you'll be pulling info off PCs, so get the client to create a disposable domain account for you.

then run this (I'm not at work but I think it'll work)

psinfo \\* -s -c -u domainadmin -p domainpassword > c:\log-CSV.txt

you'll hopefully get a CSV log of all PC's with hardware/software installed.

I kinda wonder why the client hasn't got this info to hand already ?
:-)
