need a cheap online shop to buy from any help??

also anyone using cat5e/cat6 as a extension from the BT master socket to another room for a ADSL/VDSL router?? wondering if this is a good idea/has good results

I once used a pair from cat5e to temporarily extend a phone line for plain old ADSL and that worked OK. I later ran the line with proper CW1308 twisted pair. The basic difference is the twist pitch. What difference it makes to a ADSL/VDSL signal is probably minimal.

The cable BT used for my VDSL extension wiring was basically indistinguishable from Cat5e (although it only contained 3 pairs). It definitely wasn't CW1308.

I'm now using Cat5e and it's fine. For a while I had two VDSL and two voice connections through the one extension cable and they all worked perfectly.
