Evening all,

So we have recently upgraded from sky broadband to full fibre from zzoomm, speeds are great on my wired connection to my pc but the Wi-Fi is terrible. Devices buffering which doesn’t make sense to me as I am getting 900+ up and down. The router is an icotera i4850, does anyone have any experience with one of these?
I have read a couple of peoples comments saying they turn the Wi-Fi off on it and use another router with good Wi-Fi coverage?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated

The router is downstairs but I am still getting strong signal to it on everything connected to it upstairs. Even the t.v in the room next door to it buffers at times.

which wifi spectrum are you using 2.4 or 5

Looking at the specs of the router the 5 Ghz is 4 x 4 so can have speeds up to 1.7 GBps, the 2.4 Ghz is only 2 x 2 so speeds up to 860 MBs

If you want a better and a longer range use 2.4 GHz. If you need higher speed and sacrifice for range, use 5GHz.
