Hello,

Basically, am having issues with my desktop PC which won't allow me to get on the internet anymore. IT is connected to the router via an ethernet cable about 10m long.

Keep getting the yellow warning triangle in the task bar saying there is no internet connection. Anything else connected to the router works fine. Tried fitting a new network card and still getting the same issues.

does anyone have any ideas?

obvious question's, but have you tried anything else connected via the cable being used on the pc not working, tried connecting other things to the port being used by the dodgy pc ?

I'd try a static IP - google for a guide. My Windows 7 pc (this one) takes an age to get a static ip for some reason, but once it's got it, it's fine. Under DHCP it could lose IP sometimes, with the associated long delay getting another IP address...
