Hi,

I lost my broadband connection it is DSL I think... connected through a phone line via filter... ( I wish we had fibre optic in area :( ) Windows troubleshooter keeps saying that the modem is experiencing issues and the modem itself (netgear) is flashing Internet sign in orange constantly... The company is AOL I dont even know if they still exist :p

I am very weak in networking, so any ideas at what to do?? Currently I suspect modem giving in...

Not in a real hurry to sort out issue since my phone can be used for tethering which provides higher speeds of that on landline... However my other family members grounded my phone, so I cant take it anywhere :(

So if there is any need to download some update packages or programs I can do that.

Thanks

If you are out of contract I'd suggest moving to a decent provider.

Your issue could be any number of things, have you tried plugging directly into the master socket?

Gettin those logs from netgear...

Its just telling you that authentication failed really.
What is the internet (@) light doing ?
Is it just flashing, steady, green, amber?

If its solid amber looks like an authentication issue,
Has any one changed any of the settings in the router page?
