Ok so im getting one tomorrow that connects via wifi and I have a few questions!

1) To connect to it is it just windows key>>devices and printers>>add printer>>add a network wireless or bluetooth printer< It will then serch for it install drivers etc..then I can just print from it?

2) Lets say I have a network printer with 5 laptops connected if i try and print from laptop 1 and laptop 3 at the same time will it just do the first document then the 2nd?

3: Epson, Kodak or HP?

Thats it!

Thanks :)

1) pretty much, well first you may need to configure the printer with an ip address etc first but this is normally a trivial task

2) yes it will queue up the jobs, although if the jobs are massive and full up the memory of the printer then they will fail, although this is unlikly.

Great thanks for the replys looks like i will be going for a "HP Officejet 4500 Wireless Multifunction Inkjet Printer" then :) HP ink just seems so expensive! how long would the average colour ink cartridge last then for a HP?

HP ink is expensive but includes a printhead, so (in theory) each cartridge should provide perfect printing. I must admit that HP's (in my experience) keep their print quality longer and better than other brands...

Definitely HP. I've got an HP 8500A Plus, which is a terrific printer. It's more expensive than the 4500, but the running costs are very low. The HP 8500A is a bit less expensive than the HP 8500A Plus, and I believe it uses the same consumables.

No you need to install the software provided by the printer manufacturer first before you set up the printer since if your router (or the printer) doesn't support WPS then your going to have to connect the printer to the first computer via USB to get the printer connected to the network (on the other computers you just have to install the software and locate the printer on the network).

Also I'd suggest you avoid HP printers as their a complete pain in the neck since the last time there was a power cut I had to go through the connection process since the software couldn't find the printer on the network even though the printer was connected to the network.

I'd go with Epson, I've had two HP printers break in the past year because the printer could no longer talk to the print head on the cartridge.
