Network Profile problem (Win 10)

Hi all. On my laptop, my 'Network & Sharing Centre/ Advanced sharing settings' is for some reason now showing 'Guest or Public' (current profile)', whereas I only ever enabled 'Network Discovery' and 'File and Printer Sharing' for Private. Currently got no internet connection. Where it says View your active networks, it says Unidentified network > Public network.

How do I get Private back as my current profile? Thanks.

Hmm, interesting result just now. I just switched from my built in Broadcom network adaptor to my wi-fi adaptor. It connected and my profile has now gone back to private as current profile. Happy about that but no idea what went on.

have you gone from w10 to w11 or done any patch updates?

Nope, been on Windows 10 for years. I suppose a Windows patch might have gotten installed but if so no idea why it would do this.
