I want to get a network storage drive and I'm wondering whether it's better to go for an enclosure, like the D-Link ShareCentre 2 Bay Cloud Network Storage Enclosure which is on this week only, or something like a WD MyCloud drive. Is one going to be substantially better than the other? I'm not too clued up on network storage so could do with a little advice

What does the Synology offer that the cheaper options don't? They seem quite a bit more expensive than the options I was considering originally

I think I'll have to do some reading up. I really only want it as a drive I can put all my music and videos on and access them from any device in the house so they seem a little expensive when compared to what I was considering.
