is there anyway of knowing how a network will perfom for you?
looking at a new phone (either the one x or note) and i know how some networks will be ok for me
orange, t-mobile and virgin are ok
giffgaff (o2) is rubbish

Only by doing as I've done myself and try some free PAYG sims with £10 of credit. Saves locking yourself into a poor signal in your area for 24months?

As above really, been looking to get a new phone/contract but have not had much luck with finding a network and plan that fits the budget but also has good signal where I live.

Think I will have to stick with T-mobile.

Currently on T-Mob here. From my tests they were good, Three had better data speeds (mostly) and possibly cleaner voice (according to the mrs, my testing partner :D ) Vodafone were surprisingly bad and O2 not much better so both out the running. Between T-Mob and Three here. Either will do the job though going nationally T-Mob may be better? Have no evidence to back that statement up though. Three CS gets a ****ging and T-Mob have always been OK to me though not had any issues. Makes leaving then difficult *if* they come up with a good deal next month.
