Had another think and come up with this type of arrangement. Its a collection of stars the same as before with switches at the centre of each branch but instead of the branches connecting to a back bone they all connect to the main server/database at the main office.



Would each of the branches be able to communicate through the network or am i barking up totally the wrong tree?
